Lahaul and Spiti are two unexplored Himalayan Valleys of Himachal Pradesh, India located on indo-tibet border. lying on the Indo-Tibet border. Lahaul Valley is marked byuniformly high mountains and massive glaciers. The two rivers Chandra and Bhaga flow through the narrow Chandra and Bhaga valleys. Lahaul-Spiti Valley is full of fascinating Buddhist art and culture. The monasteries of Lahaul-Spiti are rich repositories of ancient engravings, wood carvings and golden images of Padmasambhava. Summer in this valley is cool and pleasant with green grass and alpine flowers. There are little monsoon in both of these valleys and this enables climbers and trekkers to enjoy a long and unbroken season in perpetual sunshine to explore the wilderness and grandeur of the inner Himalaya. This unique feature makes Lahul-Spiti as an ideal destination for tourists and trekkers. Keylong is 115 km from Manali and is the District Headquarter of Lahul-Spiti District.
Day 1: Pathankot-Manali
Our representative will meet you at Pathankot railway station and we will proceed to Manali Overnight stay at hotel in Manali.
Day 02: Manali
This day we will visit popular places in Manali. overnight stay at the hotel
Day 3: Manali – Chatru
In the morning drive over Rohtang Pass into Lahaul valley. The road branches towards Chandratal and Spiti at Gramphoo. The campsite at Chatru is on the banks of the river Chandra. Spend the afternoon acclimatizing. Overnight stay in tents.
Day 4: Chatru – Kaza
Today we will drive to Kaza over Kunzum la . On arrival check in to hotel. Evening free to explore the area. Overnight stay.
Day 5: Kaza
In the morning after breakfast visit the Ki monastery and Kibber village. In the afternoon travel to Tashigong village to see the Chao Chao Kang Nilda peak. Evening back to Kaza for overnight stay.
Day 6: Kaza – Dhankar – Tabo – Kaza
Visit the Dhankar and Tabo monasteries. Tabo monastery is more than a thousand years old and is famous for its wall paintings and murals. It is also known as the Ajanta of the Himalayas. Return back to Kaza in the evening. Overnight stay.
Day 7: Kaza – Chandratal
Spend the afternoon exploring the lake. Overnight at Chandratal.
Day 8: Chandratal – Keylong
Travel to Keylong, en route passing several villages in the Lahaul valley. On arrival, set up camp near Keylong. In the afternoon, hike up to the Khardong village and monastery.
Day 9: Keylong – Udaipur
Udaipur is located in the Pattan valley, a beautiful side valley in Lahaul. On arrival, set up camp. In the afternoon, explore the Udaipur village and visit Mrikula Devi temple.
Day 10: Udaipur – Manali
Return to Manali over Rohtang Pass. On arrival, check in to the hotel.
Day 11: Manali – Pathankot
Drive back to Pathankot. This will be end to memorable journey
