Manimahesh Yatra Rakshabandhan Snan is held on the day of Rakshabandhan every year. 2018 will be held on Sunday, August 26, 2018. Rakshandhan Snan holds imense importance as it is one of the very auspicious day in Hindu religion. Every year regardless of official period of Manimahesh Yatra it is also considered auspicious to take holy bath in Manimahesh lake on religiously important days of hinduism like Puranmashi, Shivratri, Rakshabandhan, Ganesha Chaturthi etc. Pilgrimage to Lord Shiva in himalayas is considered one of most important pilgrimages in India.
