Thamsar Pass TrekThamsar pass trek is a very difficult trek which starts Bharmour and ends in Baijnath. During this trek we will reach to the hights of 4665 m.

Duration of the Trek: 08 Days / 07 Nights
Destinations: Bharmour-Bharmani – Nayagram – Dhardi – Khanar – Bara Bhangal – Marh – Panihardu – Palachak – Billing – Baijnath
Highest Point of the Trek: 4665 mts.
Best Season: June to October

Thamsar pass trek is a very difficult trek which starts Bharmour and ends in Baijnath. During this trek we will reach to the hights of 4665 m. Thamsar pass trek is great to explore the primitive villages in remote Himalayan regions. This trek is highly demanding during initial 3 days one have to negotiate really difficult and dangerous trail which at places have only half a foothold with straight drops into rivers. The trek ends at place which is one the best place for Paragliding.

Day 1: Reception at Bharmour and visit to Bharmani Temple
You will be receieved at hotel Bharmour View. You will be taken to Bharmani Mata temple, which is 4 km away from Bharmour on the top of the ridge with the beautiful view of mountians. Legend says that Bharmour is named after Bharmani Devi. This visit can be arranged by jeep also dependin on your wish. This trek will take you to Bharmani Temple through Village Malkauta and walk back to Bharmour via Ghararu, from where visiters can enjoy beautiful view of Bharmour and snow clad mountains. Stay at hotel Bharmour View.
Day 2: Bharmour to Laakewali Mata temple via Holi
At the road head the right bank of Ravi leads to Nayagram, Its the tough strech of walk, which is highly demanding with very narrow trails with steep falls of hundreds meters. Overnight camp.
Day 3: Nayagram to Dhardi and Khanar
This day we have to start early for a long haul of 26kms, a tough & long strech of ascents & decents lead to Last village of Chamba district. Khanar is small village located at hillside having a small temple. Overnight camp.
Day 4: Khanar to Bara Bhangal
Its another day of difficult trek of 18 kms to Bara Bhangal, It a trechourous trail with sharp curves, stip rock faces and deep gorges. Bara Bhangal is solitry village this is located at conflusion of Ravi and Kalihini. Bara Bhangal is promotive village with no electricity during the winter almost complete is empyt as migrate to Kangra. Overnight Guest House.
Day 5: Bara Bhangal to Marh
Its an easy day of walking a well defined path and cross over the wooden bridge is a walk of moderate grade. Marh is temprory shelters for gaddi’s and has a small campning areas with the rock shelter.Overnight camp.
Day 6: Marh to Panihardu over Thamsar Pass
The early day of climb from Marh starts with gradual climb with couple of steep climbs. Thamsar is a beautiful trail to cross Dauladhar range, there are couple of lake below the pass, coming down to the pass steep and difficult crossing Bharpal which is camping ground for Gaddi’s further descend to Panihardu which is base camp for people caming from Kangra.Ovrnight camp.
Day 7:Panihardu to Palachak
It’s a pleasure walk from Panihardu to Palachak. Relax for the day at the campside.Overnight Camp
Day 8: Palachak to Billing to Baijnath
It’s an easy three hours treks to palachak to Billing. Located at the alt of 2600 mts Billing is world famous destination for Paragliding site.From Billing there is 14 km jeepable road to Bir. Bir to Baijnath is 9 km by road destination. Here will end an unforgettable trek.
