Duration: 4 days and 3 Nights
Day 1: Amritsar - Wagah Border
On arrival at Amritsar Railway Station our representative will take you to the hotel. At evening you will be taken to visit Indo-Pak Wagah Border to watch Flag Retreat Ceremony. Wagah is an army outpost on Indo-Pak border 30 Kms from Amritsar where the highlight of the day is "Beating the Retreat" ceremony at evening. Soldiers from both countries march in perfect drill, going through the steps of bringing down their respective national flags. As the sun goes down, nationalistic fervour rises and lights are switched on marking the end of the day amidst thunderous applause. After watching "Beating the Retreat" ceremony you will return to hotel. You will spend the night at the hotel.
Day 2: Golden Temple- Jallianwala Bagh- Katra
At morning after bath and breakfast you will be taken to visit Golden Temple. Golden temple is the most sacred temple for sikhs. It is a symbol of the magnificence and strength of the sikhs all over the world. In the evolution of the Darbar Sahib, is entwined the history and ideology of Sikhism. In its architecture are included, symbols associated with other places of worship. This is an example of the spirit of tolerance and acceptance that the Sikh philosophy propounds.
We also visit Durgiana Mandir, is close to the Golden Temple, this temple, modeled in the style of the Golden Temple, is dedicated to the Hindu goddess Durga. However, it also offers prayers to deities of Lakshmi and Narayana. The temple stands in the center of a lake.
Visit Jallianwala Bagh- Martyrs’ Memmorial built in the shape of eternal flame of liberty is situated on the outskirts of Golden Temple. Here about 1500 and 2000 persons who were attending a peaceful meeting during the freedom movement fell under the bullets of the British General Dyer on 13 April 1919.
Thereafter drive to Katra ( 259 kms/5 hrs drive ) via pathankot and Jammu visit katra in the late evening, check into the hotel, overnight at Hotel in Katra.
DAY 3: Katra - Vaishno Devi
After breakfast, start trekking to Holy shrine 13.5 KM for the Darshan for Mata Shri Vaishno Devi Jee, return back in the evening. Overnight at hotel in Katra.
DAY 4: Vaishno Devi- Katra
After breakfast drive to Amritsar anddrop at Amritsar railway station for onward journey or drop at Jammu airport/railway station for onward journey.
